The opera “Demetrio e Polibio” by Rossini, presented at the fortieth Rossini Opera Festival, was a great success with the audience. Many applauses, even at the open scene.
The public’s enthusiasm was addressed both to the conductor Paolo Arrivabeni and to the director Davide Livermore. The proposed set-up was the same one presented at the Rof in 2010, but this year it was enriched by a very balanced cast.
Among the performers were Jessica Pratt in the role of Lisinga, Cecilia Molinari in the role of Demetrio-Siveno and Riccardo Fassi who played Polibio. All the artists received much applause. Replicas are scheduled for 15, 18 and 23 August.
