The Lumineers’ new album is coming, and will be released on September 13, 2019. Three years have passed since the band’s last album, “Cleopatra”, which followed the first, entitled “The Lumineers” released in 2012. The band, born from the meeting between guitarist and singer Wesley Schultz and drummer Jeremiah Fraites, was consecrated to the success in 2011, with the song “Oh Hey”. The song became famous when it was used as the theme song of the “Heart of Dixie” series. Also the theme of another famous TV series, “Reign” is by The Lumineers.
The new album
The new album will be titled “III”, because it is the third album of the band but also because it will be divided into three chapters, each dedicated to a character. The project stems from a diary written many years ago by Schultz. In this diary, Schultz tells of the attempt to save a relative from alcoholism, his family and his childhood. The result, as Music News Italy explains, is the story of three generations of the same family. Each of them would have been at the center of the three songs that would have composed one of the three chapters of the album.
